Applying to UniSQ is easy

Below is everything you need to know about submitting applications to UniSQ.

Entry requirements

Academic entry requirements

Please note, some degrees may have additional entry requirements, please refer to each UniSQ degree for more information.

English entry requirements 

Applicants need to meet the English Language Proficiency requirements for all Award and Non-Award Programs. Check our English entry requirements

Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) requirement

All applicants applying to study on-campus on a Student visa must show they are coming to Australia temporarily to gain a quality education. They are required to provide a personal statement in English addressing the GTE requirement as part of their application. 

Fees and scholarships

Explore the scholarships offered just for UniSQ’s International students. You can find the list of scholarships for International students, eligibility criteria and closings dates by selecting ‘International students’ from the ‘scholarship category’ drop box on the scholarships page.

New students will pay the fees that are indicated in their Letter of Offer. They can make a payment from their home country via a international Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) using Flywire.

Required documents

To support their application to study, they will also need to submit certified copies of:

  • official photographic identification
  • English language proficiency: if they are are from a non-English speaking country, we require evidence of their English language proficiency
  • senior high school (A levels / Year 12) certificate and academic transcripts
  • all post-secondary study certificates and academic transcripts (if any)
  • evidence of work experience (if any).

When submitting, clear colour copies of documents are preferred. 

Credit

If the students have studied or worked previously, they may be eligible for credit or recognition of prior learning. They can apply for credit using the online application form.

If they’re applying for credit, they will need to provide further supporting documentation including:

  • A copy of an approved course synopsis for the year in which the subject was successfully completed.
  • Documents in a language other than English will need to be accompanied by official translations.

How to Accept

The student will be required to address the below items and submit their acceptance directly to your agency.

  • Meet any conditions outlined in the Letter of Offer.
  • Complete and sign the Acceptance of Offer
  • Complete and sign the financial declaration or checklist and sponsor declaration (if applicable).
  • If they’re an on-campus student applying for a Student visa, applicants must have sufficient funds available for the duration of their stay in Australia. They must provide evidence of their financial capacity (if applicable). Find out how to demonstrate they have enough money to cover costs and expenses in Australia.
  • Complete and sign any scholarship offers (if applicable).
Defer/Withdraw/Refund

Defer semester

If the student wishes to defer their commencement, please email ioadmissions@unisq.edu.au with the request. UniSQ International Admissions will reassess the application for the next intake and provide a priority outcome.

International Students who defer the commencement of their program for one or more study periods must reapply.

Withdraw application

If the student no longer wishes to study at UniSQ, please email requesting a withdrawal and submit a request for a refund of any prepaid fees, if applicable. Further information is available at UniSQ website

Refund

If the student wishes to apply for a refund – please email the complete refund form to ioadmissions@unisq.edu.au for our processing.

Change of Agent

If the student wishes to apply for a change of agent, the Agent Authorisation Form must to completed by the student and please email it to ioadmissions@unisq.edu.au for processing. Request for change of agent after acceptance of the offer will be assessed as per agent contractual agreement and their individual circumstances.
